Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC I&C Construction Engineer for Abu Dhabi to oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule and budget adherence on ADNOC-backed projects.

The role requires deep PMC experience in oil & gas, strong coordination with EPCs, QA/QC, and a track record of managing large-scale EPC/EPCM works in the Middle East. Excellent knowledge of ADNOC standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of oil & gas project experience.
• At least 3+ years in a similar position.
• At least 5+ years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
• Strong experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM projects (CAPEX > USD 500M).
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices is essential.
• Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC contractor construction activities for I&C discipline.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, method statements, and IFC deliverables.
• Validate contractor construction sequences, work packs, and resource plans.
• Identify delays or conflicts and propose mitigation strategies.
• Uphold ADNOC’s Zero Incident safety culture on site.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and permit-to-work systems.
• Interface with QA/QC and manage NCRs and close-out actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning and operations teams.
