Job summary

Wood is recruiting an experienced PMC Construction Engineer - Piping for ADNOC Onshore in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees piping construction activities, coordinating with EPC contractors to ensure safe, compliant execution according to project specs and codes on onshore sites.

The ideal candidate brings extensive piping construction experience in oil & gas, with strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC, and commissioning support, to deliver critical onshore facilities in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or energy projects.
• Minimum 5 years in PMC or Owner's Engineer roles.
• Extensive experience in onshore facilities and offplot infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in piping construction, testing, and mechanical completion.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise piping construction activities performed by EPC contractors.
• Ensure piping installation is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and project requirements.
• Review construction work packs, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Verify contractor compliance with project HSE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
• Coordinate piping activities with civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams.
• Review and close punch-list items related to piping systems.
• Prepare daily and weekly construction reports.
• Maintain records of inspections, testing, and construction activities.
