Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Safety Officer to join our project team. You will liaise with the Safety Manager and contractors to implement and improve corporate HSE management ethics and ensure compliance across site activities.

The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in engineering or related field, 8+ years in health and safety on infrastructure projects, and UAE certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHAD. Interviews are expected in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or equivalent in an engineering field and formal HSE education.
Minimum 8 years of Health & Safety experience on infrastructure projects.
Recognized HSE certifications (NEBOSH, OSHAD) and UAE licensing/ training.

Responsibilities

Implement Parsons HSE Policy, Plan, and legislation; monitor performance and targets.
Liaise with Safety Manager and Contractors to improve and implement HSE ethics.
Monitor contractors for safety measures and best practices.
Review Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments and monitor effectiveness of control measures.
Review Contractors' monthly HSE inspections/reports.
Conduct monthly safety meetings and publish minutes for follow-up.
Review Emergency Preparedness, Permit to Work, toolbox talks and HSE statistics.
Review incident/accident investigations and communicate learning points.
