Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services is seeking a seasoned HSE Officer to drive health, safety, and environmental compliance across UAE infrastructure maintenance projects. You will enforce ADOSH-SF, ITC, and UAE regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture.

You will lead risk assessments, incidents investigations, and audits, coordinating with clients and regulators to ensure safe operations on port and marine projects. A NEBOSH IGC and ISO 45001 familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (any discipline) or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification.
• OSHAD/ADOSH-SF Registered Safety Practitioner certification.
• IRCA Certified ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE standards and client requirements.
• Conduct daily site HSE inspections and identify hazards.
• Verify PTW systems and ensure proper permit issuance.
• Review RA, MS, and JSA for adequate controls.
• Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Monitor traffic management plans and ITC compliance.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit daily to monthly HSE reports and records.
• Conduct emergency drills and ensure preparedness.
• Monitor waste management and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities on HSE matters.
• Participate in audits and closure of observations.
