Job summary

Eaton is seeking an experienced Hardware & Technical Documentation Engineer to join our Middle East Engineering Team in Dubai, UAE. The role covers design, development, validation, and sustenance of electronic hardware solutions for life safety and power management products, along with ownership of manuals, installation guides, and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of electronic hardware design experience.
• Experience in life-safety or industrial electronics.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for engineering products.
• Experience with product certification, validation, and industrialization.
• Familiar with PLM systems like Enovia and ERP SAP.
• Knowledge of IEC, UL standards and product safety requirements.
• Proficiency in hardware design tools such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and sustain electronic hardware solutions.
• Create and maintain manuals, installation guides, maintenance instructions, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate documentation with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure consistency.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, UL and other applicable product standards.
• Support regulatory certification, validation, and industrialization activities.
