Eaton Corporation in Dubai seeks an experienced Hardware & Technical Documentation Engineer to join our Middle East Engineering Team. You will own end-to-end documentation lifecycle for products, developing manuals, installation guides, and specifications.
The role also supports hardware development activities, collaborates across functions, ensures IEC/UL compliance, and leads continuous improvement in documentation quality and governance.

We are seeking an experienced Hardware & Technical Documentation Engineer to join our Middle East Engineering Team in Dubai, UAE.
Technical Documentation Leadership (Primary Responsibility)
Own the end-to-end creation, maintenance, approval, release, and lifecycle management of technical documentation for all assigned products.
Develop and maintain user manuals, installation guides, operation manuals, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, service documents, and technical specifications.
Create and manage engineering drawings, technical illustrations, product labels, packaging labels, compliance markings, and customer-facing documentation.
Generate, organize, and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), design reports, validation reports, qualification reports, test procedures, and test records.
Ensure all technical documentation complies with Eaton standards, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations.
Maintain document accuracy, completeness, revision control, and traceability within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Establish and enforce documentation governance processes, templates, standards, and best practices across engineering projects.
Coordinate documentation activities across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and external partners.
Support product certification and regulatory approvals by preparing, compiling, and maintaining required technical files and compliance documentation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on documentation quality, usability, efficiency, and standardization.
Support engineering change management processes by ensuring all associated documentation is updated and released in a timely manner.
Act as the subject matter expert for engineering documentation tools, methodologies, and content management processes.
Hardware Engineering Support (Secondary Responsibility)
Support the design, development, validation, and sustaining of electronic hardware and PCBA solutions for Life Safety and Power Management products.
Participate in requirements definition, hardware architecture development, schematic design, and component selection activities.
Conduct laboratory testing, troubleshooting, validation, and root cause analysis.
Support EMC/EMI testing, product qualification, and certification activities.
Assist with manufacturing readiness, industrialization, product launches, and sustaining engineering activities.
Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, reliability improvements, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware design outputs are fully documented and released according to established processes.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
Act as the primary interface between engineering and documentation stakeholders.
Support project planning, milestone reviews, and release readiness activities.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design review materials.
Ensure compliance with IEC, UL, and other applicable standards and regulations.
Promote knowledge management, technical communication excellence, and documentation-driven engineering practices.
Support organizational initiatives aimed at improving engineering productivity and product lifecycle management.
