Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking a Senior Governance Manager within Risk and Compliance - COO, to lead end-to-end governance forums for IWPB Risk and to ensure timely decisions and clear ownership across first, second and third lines.

Based in Dubai, this role collaborates with global teams to strengthen governance discipline, drive reporting of board-ready papers, and track actions while delivering practical improvements across governance processes and stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Full-time degree of at least three years required for UAE visa and work permit.
• Experience managing governance and executive reporting within HSBC or similar.
• Understanding of risk management concepts and techniques.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder groups across global/local models.
• Proven capability producing governance packs, minutes and senior-level reports.
• Programme and project management experience is required.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills across organisational levels.
• Collaborate across first, second and third lines to align priorities.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing end-to-end operational management of IWPB Risk governance forums including agendas, pack coordination, minutes and meeting outputs.
• Establish a regular cadence to track governance actions and ensure timely progress and closure.
• Manage and consolidate inputs for governance reporting requirements across IWPB Risk in partnership with Group R&C teams.
• Shape governance papers to meet expected standards by partnering with stakeholders across first line, second line and third line.
• Prepare IWPB Risk briefings for formal governance committees and regulatory forums.
• Coordinate IWPB contributions to CRCO paper content and key escalation matters.
• Support the Head of Performance and Delivery with delegated representation at meetings and forums where required.
• Strengthen ways of working by standardising processes, removing blockers and aligning stakeholders to a single version of truth.
