Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking a Consultant Medical Oncologist – GI Cancer Care in Dubai. The role centers on advanced GI oncology, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and delivering state-of-the-art systemic therapy across colorectal, gastric, esophageal, pancreatic, and hepatobiliary cancers.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized Consultant or Specialist qualification in Medical Oncology.
• Fellowship or substantial subspecialty experience in Gastrointestinal Oncology.
• Appropriate UAE Consultant license, eligibility, or ability to obtain the required professional license.
• Significant post-specialization experience in medical oncology.
• Strong clinical exposure to gastrointestinal malignancies.
• Experience with colorectal, gastric and esophageal cancer treatment pathways.
• Experience managing pancreatic and hepatobiliary malignancies.
• Exposure to gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors is advantageous.
• Advanced knowledge of systemic chemotherapy regimens.
• Experience with immunotherapy indications and biomarker results.
• Genomic testing knowledge and precision oncology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology consultations for patients with suspected or confirmed malignancies.
• Assess patients with colorectal, gastric, esophageal, pancreatic, hepatobiliary, and other gastrointestinal cancers.
• Review pathology, staging investigations, imaging findings, laboratory results, and previous treatment history.
• Determine disease stage, treatment intent, prognosis, and appropriate systemic therapy options.
• Develop individualized treatment strategies based on tumor biology and guidelines.
• Prescribe and supervise chemotherapy regimens for eligible oncology patients.
• Select and manage immunotherapy according to tumor type and biomarkers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated cancer care.
• Present complex cases at tumor boards and follow evidence-based pathways.
• Maintain complete oncology records and ensure safety in chemotherapy handling.
