Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East seeks a Consultant Gastroenterologist for the Advanced Digestive Care unit in Dubai. The role focuses on comprehensive GI/hepatology care, performance of endoscopic procedures, and multidisciplinary collaboration with a patient-centered approach.

The ideal candidate has board certification/fellowship in gastroenterology, DHA licensing, and 5–7 years post-board experience, with fluency in Arabic and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility to obtain consultant-level licensing in Dubai.
• Post-board experience 5–7 years in a reputable hospital is desirable.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory; strong English communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBS, IBD, pancreatitis, GI bleeding.
• Assess and treat liver diseases and other hepatology conditions.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic indications.
• Conduct colonoscopy for screening, diagnosis, surveillance, and treatment.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases within a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
• Provide consultations in Arabic and educate patients about digestive health.
