Job summary

Talentspoc in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Specialist General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical evaluation, treatment, and post-operative care. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in general and laparoscopic surgery, excellent clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree (as required).
• MS / DNB / MRCS / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent in General Surgery.
• Minimum 3 years post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in general and laparoscopic surgery.
• Surgical logbook may be required for licensing.
• Excellent clinical decision-making, surgical skills, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring surgical intervention.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
• Manage GI tract, abdomen, hernias, gallbladder, appendix, breast, and soft tissues.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor for complications.
• Handle surgical emergencies including acute abdomen and trauma.
• Review labs, ultrasound, CT, MRI and other diagnostics.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, and others.
• Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, options, risks, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and UAE healthcare compliance.
• Participate in audits, QI initiatives, and CME.
