Job summary

Talentspoc LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Specialist General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical evaluation, treatment, and post-operative care. The role requires strong general and laparoscopic skills and a patient-centered approach.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage surgical patients, perform both elective and emergency procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualifications in General Surgery (MS/DNB/MRCS/FRCS/Arab Board) required.
• Minimum 3 years post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong general and laparoscopic surgery experience; capable of multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring surgical intervention.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Manage conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract, abdomen, hernias, gallbladder, appendix, breast, and soft tissues.
• Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures where appropriately trained.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop appropriate surgical plans.
• Provide comprehensive post-operative care and monitor patients for complications.
• Manage surgical emergencies including acute abdomen, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, perforation, and trauma.
• Review and interpret laboratory results, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
