Job summary

PulseHire HR Middle East is seeking a Consultant General Surgeon for a leading UAE healthcare provider. The role involves general, laparoscopic and emergency surgery within a modern, quality-driven environment and a diverse international patient population.

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for professional development, DHA/DOH license conversion and UAE credentialing support.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage elective and emergency general surgery patients.
• Perform open and laparoscopic procedures with facility privileges.
• Provide perioperative care, complication management, ward rounds and outpatient follow-up.
• Collaborate with anaesthesia, ICU, radiology, gastroenterology, oncology and emergency teams.
• Contribute to surgical pathways, theatre efficiency, infection prevention and patient safety programs.
• Maintain accurate consent forms, operative notes, discharge summaries and clinical documentation.
