Job summary

Digital Next UAE seeks a Principal AI Engineer / AI Solutions Architect to lead enterprise-scale GenAI and agentic AI initiatives in Abu Dhabi. You will architect, prototype and productionize complex AI solutions across government and enterprise programmes, collaborating with stakeholders and delivering reusable accelerators and security-conscious implementations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software, data, ML or AI engineering experience.
• Hands-on AI engineering with production GenAI/LLM projects.
• Proven ability to architect and build production AI solutions.
• Strong experience with RAG architectures and embeddings.
• Expert-level Python and software engineering skills.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Azure AI / OpenAI platforms and secure AI practices.
• Familiarity with open-source LLM ecosystems and evaluation.
• REST API and enterprise integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority for AI initiatives and architectures.
• Own AI solutions from discovery to production optimization.
• Design and build Generative AI and LLM applications for enterprise/government use cases.
• Develop production-grade Python services and AI microservices.
• Implement MCP, tool calling and modern agent orchestration patterns.
• Evaluate frontier and open-source models for capability and security.
• Lead PoCs, architecture discussions and solution demonstrations.
• Mentor engineers across AI initiatives.
