Job summary

TalentSpoc is seeking an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing digestive disorders, providing advanced gastroenterology care, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an MD/DNB with a DM/DNB in Gastroenterology, extensive post-specialization experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to supervise junior staff and contribute to

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree is required.
• MD/DNB in General Medicine or an equivalent qualification, followed by DM/DNB or equivalent specialization in Gastroenterology, is required.
• Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level is expected.
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures is essential.
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and patient communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diseases of the GI tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
• Treat GERD, peptic ulcers, IBD, liver disorders and GI bleeding.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy).
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage complex gastroenterology cases and provide long-term follow-up care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Counsel patients on treatment options, dietary modifications, and preventive care.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical quality improvement.
