Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist for a senior role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The incumbent will oversee advanced endoscopy, hepatology, and multidisciplinary digestive medicine within a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds Board Certification in Gastroenterology, 5–7 years post-specialization experience, and DHA eligibility or license in Dubai. Strong leadership, communication, and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum 5-7 years post-specialization gastroenterology experience.
• DHA Consultant Gastroenterologist license, eligibility letter, or ability to obtain license in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients presenting with GI, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and digestive symptoms.
• Diagnose and manage disorders affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
• Conduct comprehensive medical histories and GI-focused physical examinations.
• Evaluate patients with abdominal pain, reflux, altered bowel habits, GI bleeding, nausea, vomiting, and unexplained digestive symptoms.
• Diagnose and manage GERD and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
• Manage inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
• Interpret laboratory investigations and review imaging reports with radiologists.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, severity, and patient preferences.
• Prescribe pharmacological therapy and monitor treatment response.
