Job summary

R&B Fashion in the United Arab Emirates seeks a product development/quality control specialist to support buying and design teams through all stages of product development, from design to manufacture. The role involves office work but requires travel to meet suppliers, customers and manufacturers, and close collaboration with designers and buyers.

Job Description:

To support buying and design teams through all stages of product development, from design to manufacture. Responsible to carry out a range of technical, investigative, and quality control work to ensure the end product performs to specification. The job involves working in an office, but must be willing to travel to meet suppliers, customers and manufacturers & to work closely with designers and buyers

• Liaising with designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods.
• Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product
• Responding to product queries, including complaints, from Stores and customers.
• Making sure garments can be produced within Budget.
• Overseeing fabric testing and fittings of first samples
