Job summary

EDGE Group PJSC is seeking a Senior System Engineer - Stability and Control to lead the analysis, modeling and validation of flight dynamics for ADASI UAV platforms. You will define aerodynamic control effectiveness, handling qualities and flight-safety margins across missions, collaborating with aerodynamics, controls, avionics and software teams.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 10 years of aerospace experience, with 5+ years in flight stability and control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Flight Mechanics, or Control Systems Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Flight Dynamics or Control Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in flight stability, dynamics, and control.
• Experience with UAVs and flight dynamics modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, X-Plane, FlightGear).
• Familiar with airworthiness and stability standards MIL-F-8785C, MIL-HDBK-1797 and related EDGE/ADASI design standards.

Responsibilities

• Stability & Control analysis for UAVs across flight regimes.
• Modeling and simulation with 6-DOF dynamics.
• Design and tune autopilot control laws.
• Verification and validation via simulations, HIL, and flight testing.
• Coordinate with aerodynamics, avionics, and software teams for integration.
