Job summary

EDGE Group, via ADASI, seeks a Systems Safety Analysis Engineer to lead safety planning, analysis, and lifecycle management for UAV platforms and related systems. You will apply aerospace safety processes and ensure compliance with ARP4754A, ARP4761, MIL-STD-882E, and AEP-4671 across development stages.

Lead safety workgroups, collaborate with avionics, flight control, propulsion, and mission system teams, and contribute to certification and safety case development in a defense technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related (REQUIRED).
• Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Airworthiness, or related (PREFERRED).
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in aerospace/defense/UAV or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience performing system safety assessments on airborne platforms.
• Experience applying SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, MIL-STD-882E, NATO AEP-4671 throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform system safety activities across the lifecycle for UAV platforms and associated systems.
• Define, manage, and maintain safety requirements for avionics, mission, and aircraft subsystems.
• Develop safety plans, hazard logs, and safety assurance documents.
• Support certification, qualification, and airworthiness processes.
• Mentor junior safety and systems engineers.
