Job summary

Gulf Contractors Company LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an Estimator Lead with 15+ years UAE experience to head the estimation function for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate, competitive cost estimates to support tendering activities.

The role requires leading the estimation team, reviewing drawings, BOQs, specs, preparing and reviewing cost estimates and pricing, and coordinating with technical, procurement and commercial teams to meet tender deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 10-15 years of UAE experience in estimation and tendering.
• Strong experience in building and infrastructure projects, preferably with a main contractor or EPC/construction company in UAE.
• Proven experience in managing or supervising an estimation team.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, methods, materials, and market rates.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing large-scale tenders and commercial proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the estimation team for building and infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, pricing, and quantity take-offs.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Ensure accurate and competitive tender pricing.
• Identify cost risks, assumptions, and potential savings.
• Coordinate with technical, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Provide pricing recommendations to the Tender Manager.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within tender deadlines.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing information.
