Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Estimation Tender Manager to lead the full tender lifecycle, from document review to final submission. You will oversee cost estimation, BOQs, and budgets based on drawings, specs and scope of work.

You'll direct a multidisciplinary team, develop bidding strategies, assess commercial risks, and present tender conclusions to senior management while coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction estimation and tendering.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary estimation teams (6+ members).
• Background in building/infrastructure/civil projects.
• Extensive experience managing complete tender submissions.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, cost estimation and pricing.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, EPC, Lump Sum and Design & Build contracts.
• Experience identifying commercial risks, scope gaps and procurement risks.
• Knowledge of supplier/subcontractor pricing and cost benchmarking.
• Advanced Excel and estimating software proficiency (Candy CCS, PlanSwift).
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Estimation Tender Management

Lead and manage the complete estimation and tendering process from reviewing tender documents to final submission Oversee quantity take-offs cost estimation and preparation of detailed project budgets based on drawings specifications and scope of work Review and validate cost estimates pricing breakdowns and BOQs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness Develop competitive bidding strategies and ensure timely submission of tenders Review construction methodologies productivity rates resource requirements and project costs Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization

Commercial Contractual Management

Assess contractual terms commercial conditions and potential project risks Identify scope gaps exclusions pricing risks and procurement-related risks during tender evaluation Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and conduct commercial comparisons and cost benchmarking Ensure all commercial assumptions qualifications and exclusions are properly documented in tender submissions Support senior management in bid evaluation pricing decisions and tender negotiations Lead supervise and allocate responsibilities across the estimation team Manage and coordinate multiple tenders simultaneously ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines Review and approve estimates prepared by team members prior to final submission Mentor guide and develop estimators and quantity surveyors within the team Coordinate with Engineering Procurement Construction Planning and Commercial departments throughout the tendering process Present tender summaries pricing strategies and key commercial risks to senior management

Job Requirements & Qualifications
