Job summary

Al Sahraa Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Senior Estimation Engineer to drive cost estimation for major infrastructure projects. You will review documents, develop BOQ, and lead bid preparation.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and extensive construction experience, with strong skills in rate analysis, cost planning, and value engineering, plus the ability to coordinate with engineering and procurement teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8–15 years of experience in the construction industry.
Minimum 4 years of experience as senior Estimation Engineer.
Proven experience in infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of cost estimation, cost planning, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, tendering, bid management and rate analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure and Building projects (roads, bridges, utilities, rail, industrial buildings).
Review tender documents, drawings and specifications to understand project scope.
Develop and verify BOQ and quantity take-offs.
Perform rate analysis for materials, labor, equipment and subcontract works.
Lead bid preparation, pricing, and submission within deadlines.
Conduct cost planning, budgeting and forecasting for projects.
Perform value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and client requirements.
Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations.
Negotiate rates and finalize cost-effective procurement strategies.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams during bidding.
Prepare estimation reports, bid summaries and management presentations.
Present cost analysis and recommendations to senior management.
