Job summary

Al Sahraa Group is seeking a seasoned Cost Controller to manage budgets and cost control across building and infrastructure projects in the UAE. You will develop cost breakdown structures, monitor expenditures, and prepare forecasts and financial summaries.

You will review contracts and BOQs for cost compliance, track variances, and coordinate with project teams to implement corrective actions. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs and final accounts.
• Excellent understanding of construction cost structures.
• Contractual and commercial awareness is essential.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost breakdown structures and cost control systems.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Prepare cost forecasts, cash flow projections and cost variance analysis.
• Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit monthly cost reports and financial summaries.
• Track committed and actual costs and projected final costs.
• Support management with accurate financial data for decision-making.
• Review contracts, subcontracts and BOQs for cost compliance.
• Manage variations, change orders and claims in coordination with project teams.
• Assist in final accounts preparation and project close-out.
• Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, procurement and site teams.
• Support procurement by reviewing vendor/subcontractor cost proposals.
• Monitor subcontractor payments and interim valuations.
• Participate in project meetings and cost review sessions.
