Job summary

KBR Environmental Services in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer to support the Environmental and Sustainability Manager in implementing EMS requirements across the program. The role involves coordinating with consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure compliance and drive environmental initiatives in alignment with KBR’s Zero Harm philosophy.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in environmental management within construction, ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related science.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental management in construction.
• ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience of previous work within ALDAR EMS is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Middle East work experience, Abu Dhabi experience preferred.
• Excellent report writing skills and experienced user of MS Office and Primavera.
• Fluency in English language both written and spoken; Arabic speaking advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitors implementation of the ALDAR Environmental Management System and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Conduct sites' environmental inspections and audits.
• Verifies and checks site observation closeout reports, environmental reports and other relevant related processes and documentation.
• Promote environmental awareness by initiating or supporting Client and KBR Corporate initiatives.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, third party consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team on all environmental requirements, addressing environmental concerns and assisting in the resolution of related issues.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly environmental project monitoring plan.
