Job summary

Incico India Engineering is seeking a Senior Engineer Hydrocarbon Accounting (HCA) & Metering for ADNOC Sour Gas operations in the UAE. You will review HCA systems, oversee data reconciliation, and lead mass balancing, reporting, and audits within a digital transformation context.

The role requires deep expertise in metering, custody transfer, AI-enabled HCA models, and integration with SCADA/DCS. You will mentor teams, coordinate with Operations, Digital/IT, and external partners to implement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 15+ years relevant experience.
• Strong ICT, digital technologies and production systems information management.
• Oil & Gas industry experience, preferably within ADNOC Group or major operators/refineries.
• 10+ years in Oil & Gas digital transformation and process plant software implementation.
• Proven ability in business consultation, cross-functional coordination and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review existing HCA systems, processes and procedures and recommend improvements based on industry and ADNOC best practices.
• Conduct gap analyses covering HCA processes, metering systems and associated production measurement activities.
• Validate and reconcile production, consumption and transfer data from metering systems, tank gauging and flow computers.
• Perform and oversee hydrocarbon allocation, mass balancing, reconciliation and production reporting.
• Investigate measurement discrepancies and ensure compliance with applicable API, ISO and Company standards.
• Administer and support HCA systems and interfaces with SCADA, DCS and laboratory systems.
• Support internal, JV and regulatory audits and closure of HCA-related audit findings.
• Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives for hydrocarbon accounting.
• Lead implementation of AI agents for HCA models and databases.
• Support implementation and enhancement of production planning and HCA applications.
• Develop HCA competency frameworks, training plans and provide technical mentoring/training.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Digital/IT and other internal/external stakeholders.

Position: 1

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in ICT, Digital Technologies and Production Systems Information Management.
• Oil & Gas industry experience, preferably within ADNOC Group or major operators/refineries.
• 10+ years' experience in Oil & Gas digital transformation and process plant operations software implementation.
• Proven ability in business consultation, cross-functional coordination and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Key Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of metering principles, custody transfer standards and hydrocarbon measurement.
• Expertise in mass balance, allocation models, fiscal regimes and contractual frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with HCA software such as Energy Components and SAP IS-Oil.
• Knowledge of production systems such as PHD, HEMS, Aspen AORA and TruPlant IP21.
• Strong analytical capability in discrepancy resolution, reconciliation and trend analysis.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
• Digital transformation and AI implementation within production/HCA environments.

General Requirement
