Job summary

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, Construction (Civil), site-based in Abu Dhabi to lead onshore pipeline construction activities within oil & gas projects.

You will plan, execute, and supervise construction works, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives align with project requirements. Extensive GCC and pipeline civil/structural experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in oil & gas with pipeline civil/structural experience.
• 5+ years in GCC region and in a similar senior role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil & structural construction activities.
• Develop construction methodologies, work packs, and schedules.
• Supervise contractors and construction teams to ensure safe execution.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, project specifications, and codes.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, and project teams.
• Monitor construction progress, productivity, and reporting.
• Support constructability reviews and resolve site construction issues.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas pipeline Civil & Structural projects
• Strong knowledge of pipeline installation, welding, testing, and commissioning
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments
• In-depth understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards
• Proven leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
