Job summary

EDGE is seeking an experienced software verification engineer for POWERTECH in Abu Dhabi. You will verify safety‑critical embedded software, develop requirement‑based tests, and perform analyses to ensure robust, certified software for aerospace propulsion tech.

The role requires 5+ years in C/C++, RTOS, and experience with DO-178C, HIL environments, and test automation. Collaboration with software, systems, and certification teams is essential for successful deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge and experience in DO-178C processes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in C and/or C++ programming languages.
• Experience in requirements-based test development, integration testing, and unit testing.
• Knowledge and experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Knowledge of software architectures and communication interfaces (RS-232/422/485, CAN, ARINC 825/429/664, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet).
• Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test environments.
• Experience with configuration, change, and requirements management tools (Git, JIRA, DOORS, JAMA).

Responsibilities

• Perform software verification activities for safety-critical embedded software.
• Develop requirements-based test procedures.
• Execute test runs and analyze results.
• Perform software analyses such as data/control coupling and structural coverage analysis.
• Document verification results and prepare verification reports.
• Maintain requirements traceability between requirements, tests, and code.
• Support HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test setup, execution, and verification activities.
• Work in coordination with software, system, and certification teams.
