We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ElectroMechanical Technician with 35 years of handson experience in telecom network equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical equipment and systems used in telecommunications networks. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Commissioning

• Install, configure and commission electromechanical systems and equipment for telecom equipment including base stations, generator sets, solar power systems, backup battery systems, AC and DC power systems, cabling, and cooling systems.
• Ensure all installations comply with technical specifications, safety standards and company policies.

Maintenance and Repair

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on telecom power equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electromechanical systems, including power generators, AC and DC systems, cooling units and other equipment.

Troubleshooting

• Identify and fix technical problems in telecom site systems such as power failures and equipment malfunctions, acting in line with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Use diagnostic tools and software to analyze system performance and implement corrective actions.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities and repairs.
• Prepare detailed reports on system performance issues and resolutions.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with engineers, technicians and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operation of telecom systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures during installations and repairs.

Experience

• 35 years of hands-on experience in field services with a focus on ElectroMechanical equipment.
