Black Pearl Consult in Dubai seeks a Network Planning Manager – Electricity Sector to lead the strategic planning, development, and optimization of the electricity distribution network for a leading semi-government utilities organization in the UAE.

The role requires a senior engineer with expertise in load flow studies, network modelling, and long-term infrastructure planning, with 10+ years in the GCC energy sector and a master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electricity network planning or power distribution.
• Strong expertise in load flow studies, network modelling tools, and utility planning systems.
• Experience within large utilities, infrastructure, or energy sector organizations in the GCC is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term electricity network planning strategies.
• Conduct load forecasting, capacity analysis, and demand growth modelling.
• Lead network expansion projects, reinforcements, and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards, safety, and technical codes.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, asset management, and capital planning teams.
• Prepare technical reports, investment justifications, and planning recommendations to senior management.
