Job summary

GHD in Dubai seeks a Senior Energy Consultant to lead and contribute to regional energy sector projects across electricity networks, renewables and storage. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Energy or Power Engineering, or a related discipline. A relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in consulting, utilities, project development, engineering, EPC, Owner’s Engineer or technical advisory environments.
• Demonstrated technical depth in electricity networks and substations, renewable energy, energy storage, grid connection, system integration, energy modelling, energy strategy, due diligence or project delivery, with ability to coordinate interfaces across disciplines.
• Ability to interpret complex technical information and develop clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience with Middle East utilities, regulatory frameworks or project delivery environments is highly regarded.
• Experience using engineering/modelling/data-analysis tools (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD, PLEXOS, Python) as relevant to the candidate’s specialty.
• Strong written, presentation and client-facing communication skills; ability to explain complex matters clearly and contribute to proposals and business development.
• Chartered Engineer status, or progress towards equivalent accreditation, would be advantageous.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; occasional regional/international travel may be required.

• Lead multidisciplinary energy projects across electricity networks.
• Contribute to Energy growth strategy in the Middle East with local leadership.
• Lead proposals and technical support to win and deliver projects.
• Deliver feasibility and options studies, engineering assessments and technical advisory assignments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and engage with clients, utilities, developers and contractors.
• Manage scopes in line with programme, budget, quality, governance and health & safety requirements; may act as project manager.
• Mentor junior professionals through technical review and knowledge sharing.
