Job summary

Americana Foods in Dubai seeks an Electrical Technician with 7–9 years in poultry/further processing environments to maintain and improve electrical systems for high-speed packaging and refrigeration. The role emphasizes PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and strict adherence to safety standards including LOTO and GMP.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex electrical networks, interpreting schematics, and documenting maintenance in CMMS.

Qualifications

Completed a recognized Electrical apprenticeship program.
Technical college degree in industrial electricity or equivalent.
7–9 years of experience as industrial electrician/technician, plus 3+ years in further processing.
Proven experience troubleshooting 480V/3-phase power and 24V DC control circuits.
Strong PLC, HMI, and VFD troubleshooting and minor programming skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on plant equipment and packaging lines.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on drives, motor starters, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and PLC ladder logic; install and calibrate components.
Provide electrical support for ammonia refrigeration systems under licensed supervision; ensure safe operation.
