Job summary

Americana Company is seeking a highly skilled electrical technician for its maintenance team to safeguard electrical integrity and efficiency of plant equipment including high-speed packing machinery and refrigeration systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs while following strict safety and GMP standards.

The role requires experience in industrial settings, ability to work in cold/wet environments, and flexibility for overtime or on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
• 8–10 years of experience as industrial electrician/electrical technician.
• Experience troubleshooting 480V/3‑phase power and 24V DC controls.
• Strong PLC and VFD troubleshooting and minor programming skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Experience with packaging machinery (fill, seal, vacuum pump, labelers, inkjet, X-ray).
• Proficiency with CMMS.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on AC/DC drives, motor starters, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical components and systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor PLC programming changes on PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO, ARC flash and NFPA 70E; maintain GMP and food safety standards.
