Senior Electrical & ICA Engineer: PLC/SCADA Lead

Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical & ICA Engineer in Dubai to supervise electrical and ICA works for major STP and infrastructure projects. The role requires hands-on PLC and SCADA experience and strong QA/QC oversight to ensure compliance with project standards.

You will coordinate with the resident engineer and project manager, review submittals, and mentor junior engineers on site. The position is full-time and based in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical and ICA supervision.
• Hands-on PLC and SCADA experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Familiar with DEWA, Dubai Municipality standards.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning of LV/MV electrical works.
• Strong QA/QC and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical and ICA works for STP pumping stations and infra projects in the UAE.
• Review submittals including shop drawings, ITPs, FAT/SAT, SCADA architecture.
• Coordinate PLC/SCADA integration and field instrument interface testing.
• Ensure QA/QC by developing inspection and test plans.
• Monitor site inspections and ensure compliance with specs.
• Coordinate with design team to resolve technical queries.
• Report progress to Resident Engineer/Project Manager.
• Review red-line marks and as-built documentation.
• Lead and mentor junior staff and inspectors.
