Job summary

SteerAI, an autonomous mobility technology company, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own electrical/electronic systems for autonomous vehicle platforms. You will manage architecture, harnesses, power distribution, sensors, and interfaces, ensuring reliability in demanding environments and potential leadership growth.

You will collaborate across systems, software, mechanical, and validation teams, guiding design from requirements through release and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in vehicle electrical/electronic design and product development.
• Experience taking electrical designs from concept to production.
• Experience with low-voltage power distribution, grounding, and wiring harnesses.
• Familiarity with CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain vehicle electrical/electronic architectures and wiring harnesses.
• Translate requirements into electrical specifications, schematics, and BOMs.
• Select components for robust vehicle installations and assess thermal performance.
• Integrate autonomy sensors, compute platforms, and drive-by-wire interfaces.
• Design vehicle communication architectures and power distribution solutions.
• Ensure EMC/EMI compliance and verification planning.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical and procurement teams.
• Support prototypes, integration, testing, and production release.
