Job summary

SteerAI is an autonomous mobility technology company driving advanced robotics integration. We seek a leader to orchestrate the deployment of our robotic vehicle platform, owning reliability, sensor integration strategy, and system architecture.

You will lead integration testing, field deployment, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, firmware, autonomy, and manufacturing teams to ensure scalable, safe operations.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in robotics or hardware-software integration.
• Strong Linux, kernel, and driver knowledge.
• Advanced C++ and Python programming.
• Expert-level integration troubleshooting and debugging.
• Knowledge of networking CAN and timing concepts (PTP, ROS time).
• Experience with Docker and automated deployment workflows.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring ability.
• Systems-level thinking across robotics stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of integration engineers; establish standards, processes, and best practices.
• Design and execute integration testing, validation, and field deployment strategies.
• Develop sensor drivers and integration solutions for Ethernet/CAN-based devices; manage calibration and data quality.
• Lead platform bring-up and system integration campaigns from hardware validation through field readiness.
• Establish and manage containerized development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Drive technical investigations and troubleshooting for complex integration issues; conduct code/design reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, autonomy, and manufacturing teams on integration strategy.
