Job summary

Artelia, a leading international engineering and project management group, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead construction supervision on complex airport and infrastructure projects in the Middle East. You will ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, safe installation, testing, and handover while coordinating with clients, contractors, authorities and multi-disciplinary teams.

This role requires extensive design review, supervision of MV/LV electrical systems, FAT/SAT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10–15 years of post-graduate experience in electrical engineering with design review, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and handover on complex projects.
• Experience on airport terminals, MRO facilities, hangars, control towers or similar infrastructure; GCC consultancy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, generators, UPS, switchgear, lighting, metering and controls.
• Working knowledge of UAE regulations, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and airport industry standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux, Relux and collaboration platforms like ACC/BIM 360 or Asite.
• Current UAE engineering registration or eligibility for licenses is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review design documents, specifications and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise installation of MV/LV power distribution, substations, transformers, generators, UPS, switchgear and lighting.
• Conduct site inspections, verify workmanship, identify non-conformances and ensure timely close-out of defects.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with architecture, structure, civil, mechanical, ICT and safety systems.
• Witness FATs, SATs, functional testing and commissioning activities.
• Resolve design discrepancies and interface issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, risk, quality reporting and progress reviews.
• Promote safe execution of electrical works in line with HSE procedures.
