Job summary

Brunel in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities across complex oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. This contract role sits at the heart of project execution, driving technical excellence from design through commissioning and start-up.

The candidate will review drawings, specifications and calculations, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support procurement and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• 14+ years of relevant experience, GCC experience mandatory.
• Professional engineering certification or registration advantageous.
• Experience with EPC/EPIC projects in upstream, midstream or downstream oil & gas facilities.
• Experience with ADNOC Group companies advantageous.
• Fluent English language required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review deliverables for compliance with project specifications, client requirements, codes and standards.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, datasheets, calculations, layouts, cable schedules, single-line diagrams and related documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, QA/QC, Commissioning, Vendors and Subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Support preparation and review of MTOs, BOQs, material requisitions, evaluations and vendor documentation.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely issuance and approval of deliverables.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
• Review and resolve technical queries, RFIs, site issues and design changes.
• Ensure coordination of instrumentation, control systems, electrical equipment, cables, earthing and lighting.

We are partnering with our client in the oil and gas sector to hire a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities across complex projects in Abu Dhabi. This contract role sits at the heart of project execution, where you will drive technical excellence, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support our client's team from design through to commissioning and start-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate Electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and ensure compliance of engineering deliverables with project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes, and standards.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, datasheets, calculations, layouts, cable schedules, single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and related engineering documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, QA/QC, Commissioning, Vendors, and Subcontractors to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
• Support preparation and review of MTOs, BOQs, material requisitions, technical evaluations, and vendor documentation.
• Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely issuance and approval of required deliverables.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Review and resolve technical queries, RFIs, site technical issues, and design changes.
• Ensure proper coordination of instrumentation systems, control systems, electrical equipment, cables, earthing, lighting, and related electrical installations.

• Minimum Qualification required: Master's Degree.
• Minimum 14+Years of relevant years of experience. GCC work experience is mandatory.
• Professional engineering certification or relevant professional registration is advantageous.
• Experience with EPC/EPIC projects, preferably in upstream, midstream or downstream oil & gas facilities.
• Experience working with major oil & gas operators/clients such as ADNOC Group companies is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of international E&l standards and engineering practices.
• Language Preference: English.
