Job summary

Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer sought for oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi on a contract basis. Lead E&I activities through the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry codes and standards.

Strong collaboration with EPC/EPIC teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality engineering deliverables. Requires a Master's degree and 14+ years GCC experience; professional registration is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Minimum 14+ years GCC experience.
• PE certification or professional registration advantageous.
• Experience with EPC/EPIC oil & gas projects.
• Experience with ADNOC group companies is advantageous.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead E&I engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
• Review deliverables for compliance with project specs and standards.
• Coordinate with client, codes, and standards.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, datasheets, and loop diagrams.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, QA/QC, commissioning, and vendors.
• Support preparation and review of MTOs, BOQs, and vendor documentation.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely issuance of deliverables.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
• Review RFIs and design changes; resolve technical queries.
• Ensure proper coordination of instrumentation, control systems, electrical equipment, cables, earthing, and related E&I installations.

We are partnering with our client in the oil and gas sector who is seeking a Senior Electrical amp Instrumentation E amp I Engineer to join our client s team in Abu Dhabi on a contract basis This is a key role leading E amp I engineering activities across the full project lifecycle ensuring high technical standards robust execution and full compliance with specifications and industry codes

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Electrical amp Instrumentation engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Review and ensure compliance of engineering deliverables with project specifications
• client requirements applicable codes and standards
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings specifications datasheets calculations layouts cable schedules single-line diagrams loop diagrams and related engineering documents
• Coordinate with Engineering Construction Procurement QA QC Commissioning Vendors and Subcontractors to resolve technical and execution-related issues
• Support preparation and review of MTOs BOQs material requisitions technical evaluations and vendor documentation
• Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely issuance and approval of required deliverables
• Provide technical support during construction installation testing pre-commissioning commissioning and start-up activities
• Review and resolve technical queries RFIs site technical issues and design changes
• Ensure proper coordination of instrumentation systems control systems electrical equipment cables earthing lighting and related E amp l installations

Minimum Qualification required: Master's degree. Minimum 14+Years of relevant years of GCC work experience is mandatory. Professional engineering certification or relevant professional registration is advantageous. Experience with EPC/EPIC projects, preferably in upstream, midstream or downstream oil & gas facilities. Experience working with major oil & gas operators/clients such as ADNOC Group companies is advantageous. Strong knowledge of international E&l standards and engineering practices. Language Preference: English.
