Qualifications

• Strong background in LV systems, control systems, SCADA, instrumentation, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical and ICA works for stormwater systems and pumping stations.
• Review and approve electrical and ICA shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and test plans.
• Conduct inspections and witness testing for LV cables, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, SCADA, PLCs, and control panels.

Senior Electrical and ICA Engineer role with AECOM Dubai supports the Resident Engineer in supervising electrical, control, and instrumentation works for stormwater drainage networks, pumping stations, and microtunneling facilities. The position ensures compliance with approved designs, standards, authority regulations, and strict safety practices while overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical and ICA works for stormwater systems and pumping stations
• Review and approve electrical and ICA shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and test plans
• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures including ITPs and commissioning protocols
• Conduct inspections and witness testing for LV cables, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, SCADA, PLCs, and control panels
• Verify loop checks, PLC programming, control logic, and SCADA system integration
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, DEWA, RTA, and project‑specific standards
• Coordinate interfaces across electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines
• Monitor construction progress and report deviations, risks, or required corrective actions
• Support FAT, SAT, energization, commissioning, and handover procedures
• Review as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and training documentation
• Respond to RFIs and provide technical clarifications and guidance
• Enforce HSE protocols during electrical isolations, confined‑space work, and energization procedures
• Assist with evaluating contractor claims, variations, and technical submissions
• Mentor junior engineers and inspectors on safety, quality, and engineering best practices

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or Instrumentation; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 15 years of electrical and ICA supervision experience for stormwater, sewerage, or pumping‑station projects
• Strong background in LV systems, control systems, SCADA, instrumentation, and automation
• Experience with cabling, MCCs, backup systems, surge protection, telemetry, and system integration
• Deep knowledge of RTA, DM, DEWA, DU, and Etisalat standards
• Strong ability to resolve technical issues and lead supervision activities
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills
