Job summary
Wasco is seeking a Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer to oversee E-houses and process modules for offshore and onshore projects in the UAE. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage technical requirements, and ensure compliance with industry standards and classification society rules.
The role requires 15+ years of E&I experience in oil and gas, strong project management, and deep knowledge of electrical systems, hazardous area classifications, and switchgear design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of cumulative E&I engineering experience in oil and gas.
- Proven leadership to manage a project team and deliver projects.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage technical requirements for E-houses and process modules.
- Apply IEC, NEC, NFPA and class requirements to deliverables.
- Oversee design calculations for compliance and safety standards.
- Lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to meet schedule.
- Prepare RFQs and conduct TBEs for electrical/instrumentation packages.
- Manage contract variations and change requests during engineering.
- Support FAT, SAT, yard activities and project reviews.
