Job summary

Wasco seeks a Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer to oversee E-houses and process modules for offshore and onshore projects. You will apply IEC, NEC, NFPA and class requirements, review complex calculations, and select equipment for hazardous areas.

You will mentor engineers, manage schedules, and lead RFQ/TBE processes while ensuring quality and safety across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering required.
Minimum 15 years of cumulative experience in E&I engineering within the oil and gas sector.
Strong leadership skills to manage a team and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Knowledge of oil & gas plants, substations, E-houses, process modules, and FPSO functionality.

Responsibilities

Interpret and manage technical requirements for projects (E-houses, Process Modules) ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare E&I design bases according to project specifications and applicable standards.
Lead, mentor, and direct a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
Develop and implement engineering resource plans and monitor hours/resources throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare RFQs and conduct TBEs for major electrical and instrumentation equipment packages.
Manage variations, RFIs, and project changes with clients and vendors.
Provide hands-on engineering support during bid evaluations, FAT, and SAT.
