Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Distribution Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for modernizing network design and implementation at Air Force and Space Force sites. You will conduct end-to-end testing of fiber optic cabling, lead small teams on site, coordinate with Government Points of Contact, and update as-built documentation based on splicing and testing results.

Must have BA/BS, 5+ years in distribution systems engineering, active Secret clearance, and willingness to travel 75–100% to

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years experience in Distribution Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• 5+ years of experience in Distribution Systems Engineering
• Active Secret Level Security Clearance
• Familiarity with ISP/OSP design and implementation documents
• Thorough understanding of wired and general IT functions
• Ability to travel 75%-100% to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using MS Visio or related CAD tools
• BICSI related certifications
