Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an Electronics Technician III to support AFCENT communications. You will perform electronics repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout on on-site systems, contributing to secure and reliable operations for the customer.

The role requires eight years of practical electronics experience, soldering, cabling, and connector skills, a SECRET clearance, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of practical experience in electronics.
• Two (2) years of supervision and shop practices.
• Three (3) years of electronics repair and installation, six (6) years on Specific Projects.
• Security clearance: SECRET.
• US Citizenship required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Required Experience: Eight (8) years of practical experience
• Required Technical Skills: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET
• Required Skills and Abilities: Supervision, shop practices, electronics repair, and installation
• Location: On Customer Site

High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. Experience: Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout. Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices. Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with the "Specific Projects".

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.52 - $30.15. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
