Job summary

Binladin Contracting Group is seeking a Senior Draughtsman – Infrastructure to prepare and review technical drawings for roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply and utility networks. You will coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and meet project requirements.

The role requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Drafting with 12+ years of drafting experience, including 5+ years in infrastructure projects within the UAE/GCC.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Drafting is required.
• 12+ years drafting experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure projects within UAE/GCC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings and construction drawings for infrastructure projects.
• Draft and update drawings for roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and utilities.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, consultants and site teams.
• Perform 2D drawings and clash detection for utilities/infrastructure in Civil 3D.
• Revise drawings based on project requirements and site conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and standards.
• Assist in resolving drawing and design issues during execution.
• Prepare As-Built drawings upon project completion.
• Maintain drawing records and document control.
• Guide and support junior Draughtsman when required.

The Senior Draughtsman – Infrastructure shall be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical drawings for infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and utility networks. The role involves coordinating with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, construction drawings, and As-Built drawings for infrastructure projects.
• Draft and update drawings for roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and utility services.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, consultants and site teams.
• Coordination and clash detection for utilities/infrastructure elements in 2D and using Civil 3D.
• Revise drawings based on project requirements and site conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Assist in resolving drawing and design-related issues during project execution.
• Prepare As-Built drawings upon project completion.
• Maintain drawing records and document control.
• Guide and support junior Draughtsman when required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Drafting.
• Minimum 12 years of drafting experience, with at least 5 years in Infrastructure projects within the UAE/GCC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of Civil 3D is a must; Good knowledge of Civil 3D will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of roads, drainage, utilities and infrastructure works.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
