Job summary

Fala Road Contracting LLC is looking for a skilled Civil Draftsman to prepare 2D and 3D drawings for roads, highways, and other critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have 4–7 years of relevant experience in the UAE/GCC and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D.

Responsibilities include developing detailed profiles, ensuring compliance with local standards, and coordinating with engineers and site teams. The position requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for roads, highways, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation and other infrastructure networks.
• Develop detailed cross‑sections, profiles, grading, alignment and earthworks using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Convert conceptual designs and engineers’ sketches into accurate working drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and ensure proper document control of issued drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and site teams to incorporate design changes, RFIs and as‑built updates.
• Prepare shop drawings, construction drawings and as‑built drawings as per project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with authorities standards (e.g., ADM, RTA, Ashghal) and project specifications.
• Support the design team with quantity take‑offs and BOQ preparation when required.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, clarity and completeness of drawings before submission.
• Assist in clash detection, design reviews and implementation of design modifications.
• Provide technical support to site teams regarding interpretation of drawings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering or Drafting.
• Minimum 4–7 years experience as Civil Draftsman in roads and infrastructure projects, preferably in UAE/GCC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Strong knowledge of road design elements, utility networks, profiles, cross‑sections, grading and alignments.
• Knowledge of local design standards, authorities requirements and drafting practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Experience in roads/infrastructure and stormwater, sewerage and dry utilities drafting.
• Knowledge of other design software such as Navisworks, InfraWorks, Revit or MicroStation is an advantage.
• Experience in preparing GIS‑compatible drawings.
• Should have experience on Roads Projects and good command on Civil3D.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in roads, infra, stormwater, sewerage and dry utilities drafting.
• Knowledge of other design software – Navisworks, InfraWorks, Revit, or MicroStation.
• Experience in preparing GIS‑compatible drawings.
