Job summary

NMDC Energy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Engineering Drafter to prepare detailed drawings, including General Arrangement and fabrication drawings, from approved information. You will review drafts by junior staff and ensure accuracy, quality, timeliness, and compliance with project requirements.

The role involves site surveys when needed, material take-offs, 3D modeling, and ensuring revisions are reflected in documents.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Engineering Drafting, CAD, Design or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 08 years' relevant experience in drafting related to Offshore.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and checking engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, General Arrangement Drawings and fabrication drawings from approved engineering information.
• Review and check drawings prepared by Draftsmen to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance before formal issue.
• Conduct pre-engineering site surveys, where required, to verify existing conditions and drawing information.
• Prepare accurate material take-offs and component information for assigned projects and work packages.
• Produce 3D models and visualization outputs where required to support project and client requirements.
• Interpret engineering specifications and coordinate with engineers to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical queries.
• Incorporate approved engineering changes and ensure revisions are accurately reflected in drawings and associated documents.
• Coordinate drafting requirements with other disciplines to ensure consistency and integration of project deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to Draftsmen and support the resolution of complex drafting issues.
• Ensure all assigned drafting deliverables comply with approved standards, document control requirements, project schedules and HSE requirements.

To prepare, coordinate and check detailed engineering drawings for assigned projects, providing technical drafting support to engineers and junior drafting personnel while ensuring drawing quality, accuracy, timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.
