Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Design Management in Abu Dhabi to lead the design delivery of complex buildings and property projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance with authorities such as ADM and ADWEA.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in design management, a degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design management for buildings and property developments, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Proven track record in managing design for high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, or institutional buildings.
• Strong understanding of local authority processes and permitting requirements.
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process across building and property projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality, timely outputs.
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and compliance with local authority requirements (e.g., ADM, ADWEA).
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and change control processes.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including clients, contractors, and government entities.
• Support pre-contract and post-contract phases, including technical evaluations and tender documentation.
