Job summary

GHD is seeking an Assistant Design Manager to support multidisciplinary design delivery across Property & Buildings in Abu Dhabi. You will report to the Design Manager, coordinate internal and external design teams, monitor schedules, and ensure quality and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in design management, strong communication skills, and experience with BIM coordination. The role involves stakeholder engagement, reporting, and ensuring adherence to standards and local

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in design management or multidisciplinary design consultancy.
• Experience delivering Property & Buildings projects in the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of design development and project delivery.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project planning tools and BIM coordination advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities between internal disciplines, external consultants, and stakeholders.
• Monitor schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
• Support the Design Manager in planning, coordination and delivery.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings and track actions to closure.
• Assist in managing risks, design changes, and quality assurance.
• Support client engagement, presentations, and project reporting.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards and local regulations.
