Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Document Controller in Abu Dhabi to manage and maintain design documentation across projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution to support the design team with robust control processes.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in document control, including 5+ years in design/document management within consultancy or engineering firms, and proficiency with Aconex/Asite. Strong ISO knowledge, organization, and deadline discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in document control
• 5+ years in design/document management within consultancy or engineering firms
• Proficiency with document control software (Aconex, Asite)
• Strong knowledge of ISO document standards and procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Oversee document control activities for design projects ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
• Manage the receipt, registration, distribution and archiving of design documents and drawings.
• Maintain and update document control systems (e.g. Aconex, Asite).
• Ensure version control and proper tracking of revisions for all design documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
• Prepare and maintain transmittals, document registers and status reports.
• Support audits and quality checks related to document control processes.
• Train and mentor junior document controllers as required.
