Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our IT Operations team in Dubai. You will manage day-to-day admin, backups, DR, patching and security for Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MySQL, MS SQL Server, and OCI.

You will lead L2/L3 production support, monitor health and performance, implement automation, and collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, Storage, Network, and Security teams. This role requires 8+ years of enterprise DBA experience and OCI expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise DBA experience.
• Expertise across Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MySQL, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Strong Linux/Unix and Windows knowledge.
• Proven incident management & ITIL/ITSM processes.
• OC P or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day administration and L2/L3 production support for enterprise databases.
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity, replication, and storage utilization.
• Manage database configurations, users, roles, privileges, and access controls.
• Perform backup, recovery, restore, replication, and disaster recovery (DR) activities.
• Execute database patching, upgrades, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and incidents, following ITIL/ITSM.
• Support HA, clustering, and replication solutions; collaborate cross-functionally.
