Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Manager - Data Privacy Governance to lead the privacy program within GISD, shaping policy and controls to ensure compliance with UAE PDPL and global standards.

You will own privacy framework, RoPA, DPIA, risk reporting, and DPIA; engage with regulators and senior leadership; guide teams across the bank and affiliates, including English/Arabic privacy notices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data protection, privacy governance or risk management.
• At least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
• Experience in banking or regulated industries.
• Excellent English drafting; Arabic an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO, CISA or CISM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the privacy governance framework, policies, SOPs, and records of processing.
• Oversee RoPA program end to end and governance of OneTrust.
• Govern the privacy risk management, DPIA, and transfer assessments.
• Define and report privacy KPIs and KRIs for senior management and boards.
• Oversee data subject rights handling, consent, and notices in English and Arabic.
• Manage third-party privacy due diligence and data processing agreements.
• Coordinate regulatory engagement and incident management.
• Provide guidance and deputize for the DPO.
